It’s almost a given that the USMNT is going to be a contender in the FIFA World Cup year after year. This means that they failed to qualify since the loss dropped them out of consideration for the first time since 1986. All they had needed was a tie to advance. Nineteen-year-old Christian Pulisic seemed to be the only one who seemed to give a you know what, with hundreds calling for the higher ups to clear house and start over. Better luck next time?
