The Durham Bulls are feeling awfully generous these days and have announced that they will be helping local ballparks get the improvements they need. This summer, the baseball organization will be writing large checks for $10,00 and giving them to four local ballparks that need some TLC. Who will be rolling in the dough? Any baseball or softball facility like Little Leagues, softball leagues, Miracle leagues, schools and local parks can apply. All you have to do is pretend you’re back in middle school English class and write a 500-750 word essay laying out the renovations your place needs and show that you won’t just take the ten grand and run. Videos, pictures, testimonials and endorsements are considered strong evidence in support of the bid. The deadline is June 18 so get those apps in fast!
