One of the best parts about being a kid was definitely those trips to summer camp, where you could hang out with your friends in the woods without a care in the world. Turns out, Christian men have been doing just that in Black Mountain for years, thanks to North Carolina Lt. Gov. Dan Forest’s men's retreats. Last weekend, Forest hosted the annual mountain getaway, at which the men slept 10 to a room to “recharge,” and “get away from politics” … as much as you can do when the man running the show is a politician. The event is listed as a 501(c)(3), which accepts the $250 registration fees, but the website makes it quite clear that it’s an invitation-only retreat. So you know what that means; in the words of Regina George, you can’t sit with us.
