If you’ve already been planning out your ice skating date for the dude that you’re in a situationship with, hoping that this might be the night you can finally make it Instagram official, we’re here to crash your party. Downtown Raleigh’s seasonal outdoor ice rink isn’t happening this year, thanks to construction of the new FNB Tower that limits any space for the would-be rink. According to Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s communications director, the city is already looking back into it when the time is right. Until then, you’ll have to get your picture at the Tree Lighting Celebration that’s scheduled on Dec. 2 from 4 – 8 pm. Not Instagram goals. *shrugs
