Today would have been Selena Quintanilla-Perez’s birthday. You probably know her as Selena, the uber talented singer, songwriter, spokesperson, actress and fashion designer who became one of the top Mexican-American entertainers of the 20th century. Tonight, head to Alamo Drafthouse in Raleigh to celebrate the life of an amazingly talented woman who was taken from this world way too soon. Enjoy some brews and catch the 90’s flick “Selena”, starring JLo and Edward James Olmos in a brilliant depiction of Selena’s life. That’s not all, Alamo will have themed props to play with during the film, like a lyric sheet so you can sing along to the hit songs from the movie. Don’t miss out on this special night.
