In the most confusing statement of all time, President Donald Trump said he stands with U.S. intelligence agencies who believe Russia meddled in the 2016 election, while also saying he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin when he says they didn’t. Sooo … what now? The classic example of fence riding isn’t that much of a surprise, considering Trump has been extra trusting of Putin for quite some time now. Former intelligence officials, though, say the president is being played. Whether he is or not and whether we’ll ever know the truth is still a mystery, but that won’t stop Trump from continuing to talk about Putin on Twitter, like he did Sunday morning with a tweet criticizing former President Barack Obama’s chemistry with the Russian leader. What is this, the Bachelor: foreign leaders edition?
