It’s almost a given that the USMNT is going to be a contender in the FIFA World Cup year after year. In case you’ve been sitting under a rock for the past 24 hours, that’s not going to be the case after dropping their contest against Trinidad & Tobago. This means that they failed to qualify since the loss dropped them out of consideration for the first time since 1986. All they had needed was a tie to advance. Nineteen-year-old Christian Pulisic seemed to be the only one who seemed to give a you know what, with hundreds calling for the higher ups to clear house and start over. Better luck next time?
